Ethics and Witchcraft

I’ve had the germ of an idea for a fairly huge project. I recently read a couple of books on Wiccan ethics and wrote a wall of text tearing one of them into tiny bits, while simultaneously feeling that I didn’t go into enough detail on several points. I also wanted to collect some links on Wiccan ethics and contribute my own POV to the discussion. So I decided to host all that here. (Once I can sketch in some more of the supporting information, I’ll write a better introduction. In the meantime, let’s dive right in.)

Books on Wiccan ethics

When, Why … If, Robin Wood | [my commentary forthcoming]
Before You Cast a Spell, Carl McColman | [my commentary forthcoming]
Ethics and the Craft, John J. Coughlin

Other discussions of Wiccan ethics

The Evolution of Wiccan Ethics, formerly the Wiccan Rede Project and now the book Ethics and the Craft

Wicca: For the Rest of Us: The Wiccan Rede and The Law of Return

Ethics and the Goddess, based on the Charge of the Goddess

If you know of a particularly good book, site, or page that discusses ethics and witchcraft, drop a recommendation in comments.
